MOCA House Art

Art is something that is created with imagination and skill, that is beautiful, or that expresses ideas or feelings.

Art promotes and enables the recovery journey for persons dealing with mental health and addiction issues.

IN OUR ART, around the table one needs no previous experience or training.  It is not about the final creation; it is about EXPRESSION AND TRANSFORMATION.

Our art is about RELATIONSHIPS, CREATING, SHARING, LEARNING, and SUPPORTING EACH OTHER IN OUR RECOVERY!

Art Auction

The art event began as a way to show the community the importance of creativity in mental health recovery.  What we saw as participants engaged in the process was that this was a way to express thought and emotion and talent developed that was never realized previous to this.

The process of having artwork displayed or sold is very empowering.

The goal is to promote mental health recovery through art therapy and raise funds for the MOCA House recovery program.

Please remember as you purchase art from the MOCA House Program at NAMI, you are purchasing from the heart, part of a soul and a moment in the artist's life put on canvas.

Artists Among Us

Artists Among Us is an exhibit in partnership with Main Street Wooster to display the works of peers and volunteers of the MOCA House art program.
